Family Storytime Workshop with Connie Nelson Laird Create Your Own Plate!
Connecting as a family often happens around food—so why not make it even more special with a handmade plate designed by you?
In this child-and-caregiver workshop, we’ll start with a lively reading of Little Pea and The Seven Silly Eaters, then roll up our sleeves to play with clay. Together, you’ll have the chance to design and create a one-of-a-kind plate—whether each person makes their own or you collaborate on a family piece.
✨ Plate possibilities are endless but could include:
• snack plate with spots for dip & dippables
• small serving plate
• sectioned plate for particular eaters…
$10 per person (includes storytime, snack + studio playtime, $20 per pound of clay for plate creations (includes use of clay & tools, 2 firings, plus glazing)
Plates will be fired and ready for you to return and glaze with your own unique color choices and designs in about 2 weeks.
Children of any age are welcome with their caregiver—come for the stories, connection and clay!
