Pumpkin Making Workshop
Get into the spooky spirit by joining us to build and design your very own ceramic Jack-o-lantern. Intended for all ages and skill levels this 1 hour workshop will teach you essential hand building skills and leave you with a one of a kind fall creation.

Graters and Spoonrests
Join artist Becky LaPadula as she guides you through making your own stoneware spoon rest and grater. Pieces will be ready to glaze in 2 weeks.

Family Play with Clay Workshop: Storytime & Creating Together Monster Mash!!
Join us for Monster Making Fun! We’ll kick things off with a lively reading of a few favorite monster stories, then dive into a hands-on pinch-pot monster workshop with artist and teacher Connie Nelson Laird.

Jon Stein Advanced Pottery Wheel Techniques
Let's get those throwing skills in shape. Jon from Queen City Clay will cover ways of throwing efficiently and show how to get past the typical frustration points people experience on the wheel. As a group, we will learn to throw taller, thinner, and with more control. Texture will also be explored by applying stamps and shaping forms on the wheel.

Ghost Making

Planning Pottery with Hannah Lencheck
Sometimes it’s fun to sit down at the wheel and see where the clay takes you - but sometimes you want to plan a piece out with more intention! Where do you start though? This workshop will explore planning a piece (or multi-piece project) through hand-drawn drafting activities, utilizing design principles, and sharing about personal planning practices amongst potters. Please note: This class does not include working with clay!

Maiolica Plate Workshop with Susan Snyder
Learn how to paint the patterns shown on the plates above in this step by step workshop. Open to all ages. Includes a 8” Hanging Plate , use of glazes and firing.

Family Play with Clay Workshop: We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! 🐻
Join us for a bear-y fun morning of stories, imagination, and clay!
Children and their caregivers are invited to share in a playful creative adventure. We’ll read a few beloved bear-themed stories, go on a pretend bear hunt, and then bring our own clay bears to life in the studio!
This workshop is best suited for children ages 3 and up.
Cost:
• $10 per person attending (includes storytime, bear hunt, and hands-on studio time)
• $25 per pound of clay. Bears will be weighed and can be any size. Cost includes all materials firing, and glazing.
It is not required to keep your bear. Clay bears will be ready in about two weeks after the workshop for you to return and paint together!


Baby Bowls
Baby Belly Bowl
Create a one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl inspired by the beauty of pregnancy and the anticipation of baby with Connie Nelson-Laird on Thursday, August 21st from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
This special workshop is open to individuals or couples who would like to craft a meaningful ceramic piece using a plaster belly cast as a starting point. Whether you’re currently expecting or have a mold from a previous pregnancy, you’re welcome to join us! If this date does not work for you. It is also available as a private event. $145 for couples, $125 for small groups.

Becky's Stoneware Slab Canister or Mug Workshop
Create your own Stoneware Plank Slab Mug in this step by step workshop. Lots of fun patterns to choose from. No experience necessary. $50 for first mug and $30 for each additional one. Please allow 10 days for the mugs to be fired. After which time you will need to return to the studio to glaze your piece(s). Glazing and second firing are included in price.

Baby Bowl Making Workshop
Baby Bowl Making Workshop
Create a one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl inspired by the beauty of pregnancy and the anticipation of baby.
This special workshop is open to individuals or couples who would like to craft a meaningful ceramic piece using a plaster belly cast as a starting point. Whether you’re currently expecting or have a mold from a previous pregnancy, you’re welcome to join us!
Workshop Fee: $125
Includes: Studio time and access to tools, instruction and guidance, bisque and glaze firings, and glazes to decorate your final piece
What to Expect: A 10-minute opening time set aside for connection and intention-setting, 20 minutes of instruction and 1 hour of supported studio time to create the belly bowl. Participants should plan to come back after about 2 weeks to glaze their piece on their own, any time the studio is open.
Please Note: Participants must bring a pre-made plaster belly cast to use as a mold form for their bowl.
Prefer a private session? Private sessions are available for $150.

All Ages Pottery Pizza Night
Come enjoy the last days of summer for our All Ages Pottery Pizza Night. Open to all ages. A $10 non-refundable ticket price reserves your spot for this special event and 2 slices of pizza and drink but does not cover the cost of the item you want to paint. Youth 10 and under is $7 and includes 1 slice. A $3 credit will be added towards their purchase. Additional refreshments will be served.

Animal Hand-building workshop
Join instructor Eva Mancini in this fun class where you will be creating your own animal! This workshop is open to all levels ages 13 and up. This class will meet on June 21, 28 and July 12 from 9am to 12pm. $150 covers all materials and glazing.

Family Story Time: Clay Mobiles
April Showers bring May Flowers! Join artist Connie Nelson Laird for a morning of making mobiles together inspired by signs of Spring. Rainbows, raindrops flowers, Spring creatures and all kinds of shapes can be cut out to be fired, painted and assemble into a mobile you can enjoy indoors or out! $35 per person.


Underglaze Transfers on Slab Vessels
Learn how to make a vessel out of slabs and decorate it with Underglaze transfers in this step by step workshop with artist Becky LaPadula. No experience necessary!


Pysanky Workshop
Learn the folk art of Pysanka writing, the decorating of eggs using wax and colored dyes, as has been practiced for thousands of years in Ukraine and other parts of Eastern Europe with artist Natalie Kravchuk.
All supplies will be provided. You may work on as many eggs as time allows. We will be working with hot wax and dyes, so please dress accordingly. Aprons will be provided. The cost is $30 per person.


Monster Mash (with Clay) with Connie Nelson Laird
Monster Making Fun! Enjoy a reading of "Glad Monster, Sad Monster" followed by a hands-on pinch pot monster workshop with artist Connie Nelson Laird. Perfect for kids and caregivers! Monsters will be ready to glaze in two weeks. $35 per person

Plank Slab Trays with Becky LaPadula
Come make a slab tray and a small bowl with slabs that are textured from a variety of textured wooden planks in this step-by-step workshop. No experience with clay is necessary! Includes instruction, materials, firings and glaze.

Mishima & Sgraffito with Daria Smith
Workshop includes 2 tiles per technique. Participants are also welcome to bring their own firm leather hard green ware. It should not be bone dry. No experience with clay is necessary! Includes instruction, materials, firings and glaze.

March Youth Classes
Youth Classes
Our next session will begin the week of March 3rd.
Includes instruction for throwing on the wheel, slab, coil and other hand-building technique. Wide selection of glazes and painting techniques provided.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Afternoons
This 5 week class session begins March 3rd and ends February 27th. Class is from 4:30pm to 6:15pm. Includes all materials and light snack.
Instructors: Connie Nelson Laird on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Gaia Hendrix-Petry on Wednesdays.
Price: $190.
Age: Open to all levels. Ages 5-14.
